Video Sapiens ("we", "us") helps short-form creators find videos that did far better than usual, save them, and find them again. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers our website (library.videosapiens.ai) and our Chrome extension.

1. What we collect

Account information

• Your email address, if you sign in with email.
• If you sign in with Google or Apple: the account ID they give us and the email address they share. We never see your Google or Apple password.

What you create

• Videos you save, your collections, status, ratings and notes.

How you use Video Sapiens (usage events)

• Actions such as opening a video, searching, filtering, saving, and tapping a locked feature, with the time and the screen where they happened. This includes search words you type.
• Before you sign in, these are linked to a random ID stored in your browser (website) or created when you install the extension. When you sign in, we link that history to your account.

Extension

• To show a badge on a video, the extension sends us the IDs of the short videos visible on your screen on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube (for example the video's platform ID and the account handle). We use these only to return the badge and do not store them with your identity. When you save a video from the extension, we receive that video's link to add it to your library.
• The extension only acts on its own badges, cards and buttons. It does not record the pages you visit, what you type on other sites, or anything else on those pages.

Technical data

• IP address, browser type and error reports, used to keep the service running and secure.

We do not collect payment information at this time. (When paid plans open, payments will be handled by our payment provider; we will update this policy.)

2. Public video information

Video Sapiens shows information about publicly available short videos: view counts, how a video did compared with its account's usual views, the caption, and an automatic reading of what is said and shown on screen. We keep a small copy of each video's thumbnail so it keeps showing after the platform's link expires. We do not store or offer the videos themselves; you watch them on the original platform.

3. Why we use your data

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

Only with service providers that run Video Sapiens for us, under contract:

• Vercel (hosting) · Supabase (database, United States) · Cloudflare (DNS and image storage) · Resend (sign-in emails) · Sentry (error reports) · Google and Apple (only if you choose to sign in with them).

We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Where your data is stored

6. How long we keep it

• Account and what you create: until you delete your account.
• Usage events: 13 months, then deleted or made anonymous.
• Extension video IDs for badges: not stored with your identity.
• Error reports: [90 days].
• When you delete your account, we delete your account, saves, collections, notes and usage events within [30 days].

7. Your choices and rights

• Delete your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. This deletes everything listed above.
• Turn off badges in the extension popup at any time.
• Access, correct, export or object: email privacy@videosapiens.ai. If you are in the EU/UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
• EU/UK/Swiss users of the extension: badges work right away, because they are what you installed it for. We do not send usage events from the extension until you tap OK on the "Badges are on" notice. [웹 쪽 동의 방식은 자문 결정]
• California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. You can ask what we hold and ask us to delete it.

8. Children

Video Sapiens is not for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Chrome Web Store — Limited Use

The use of information received from the Chrome extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use the video IDs the extension sends only to provide the badges and video details you see, we do not transfer them to others except as needed to run the service, and we do not use them for advertising or sell them.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell you on the website or by email before the change takes effect.
